In an Episcopal church in Worthington, Ohio pews were not rented but considered open to all as a way to make sure that people were not discouraged from attending because they could not afford the cost. Today, the church must be mindful of the expenses we may--intentionally or unintentionally--demand from people who might be entered our doors. This is a recording of the sermon preached by the Rev. Rob Baldwin at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence, Kansas on February 5, 2012. You can learn more about Trinity Church at www.trinitylawrence.org |
